22.11.2011: Augusta and Bobby were at a local, open DKK show on Sunday.

Bobby, 4 month, best mastiff baby and BIS4 baby.

A lovely day for people and dogs. Below Bobby's victim is Ohline, 11 month.

Late September Birte visited the US and came back with a lovely boy, Bobby 10 weeks old.

Bobby is now 4 month old and a awesome puppy. His tail is always wagging and he seems to be healthy in body and mind.
We can't thank Owenspride Mastiffs enough for this beautiful puppy.

07.11.2011: DKK International shows in Herning - a fantastic weekend for our kennel.

Sunday: The four best males and the best bitch were our breeding.
Entries: 18 mastiffs, judge: Christine Rossier, Switzerland.

Junior got BOB, CACIB and Danish Winner 2011.

	Hugedogge Yeti (Rocky x Donna) was at her first show and got excellent. She also had plenty of time to meet new friends at the ringside.

Junior also won the title: DKKV11 "DKK bred winner 2011 " - the most winning mastiff. He is an amazing boy. When moving around the ring you see about 100 kg mastiff flying with power and ease.

Saturday: 15 entries, judge: Jørgen Hindes, DK.

Hugedogge Quinn got CAC R.CACIB and is now: Danish Champion Big congratulation to his owner, Charlotte & Claus.

We showed Junior and Augusta.   Junior got BOB and CACIB

22.10.2011: Saco celebrates 10 years birthday today.

Saco does not look that age. She is grey but still agile and the grand matriarch. Today she went for a walk in the woods, got a good dinner and.....

......took a good nap. The new toy she left for dad Conrad.

Sanne has got her own site with new pictures. She went Danish Champion i September. Her hips and elbows are clear of dyslpasia (A - 0).

Saturday:Danish Mastiff Club show in Kerteminde. Uffe and Hugedogge Augusta was shown. 37 mastiff entered. Judge Mrs. Margaret Bromley, UK.

	Augusta ( Uffe x Thelma) is 5½ month and it was her first show. She enjoyed her day out and did very well - very promising and best baby.

07.09.2011: European Winner Show in Leeuwarden, Holland.

Last week we went to Holland for the national show on Friday and the European Winner show on Saturday.
This time we showed Uffe and Sanne.

Entry Friday 20 mastiffs, judge Jan Gajewski, PL. Uffe got excellent 2 in champion class. Sanne got excellent 2 in open class. Entry Saturday 42 mastiffs, judge Pieter Roosenboom, BE. Uffe won the championclass in great competition including the 3 times World Winner. He got RCACIB and RCAC - Vice European Winner. Sanne got excellent 3 in open class.

In August Mojo, Thyro and their family from Holland visited. Here is 3 generations. The litter mates Thyro and Augusta, their mother Thelma and grandmother Saco

Hugedogge Quinn went BOB at DKK national show in Varde. Congratulation to Charlotte & Claus.

18.08.2011: Living with old mastiffs - the best in life.

We are often asked about how old mastiffs can be. Large dogs have a shorter life span than smaller dogs. Lifetime is one of the things of great importance in our breeding, we hope that the ancestors who have achieved high longevity will throw it to future generations.

To be allowed to live with old mastiffs are something special. Years of love provides unique relationship and a wisdom as seen in their eyes . We are fortunate that we currently have four old mastiffs over 8 years - so-called " veterans ". We are thankful for every day.

Congratulation to Marly celebrating 8 years birthday last saturday.

A bit grey at his muzzle but still youthful.

Laika is 8 years and 2 month old. She is busy picking plums.

Saco is almost 10 years old. She is helping us teaching the youngsters good manners :)

Conrad is 11½ years old and still going strong. Almost deaf but his sense of smell and vision is well.
He sleeps a lot but the young ones keep him busy and young :)
And above is his old daughters - yes, he is the father of Laika 8 years and Saco almost 10 years.

	Food is every day´s highlight for Conrad.

09.08.2011: Clara BIS at Norweigen Mastiff Club Show.

Clara and Junior got CAC and are now Norweigen and Nordic Champions.

Norweigen Mastiff Club show, Skarness, Norway. It was lovely to meet old mastiff friends and to see two of our "puppies" - Urax, who lives in Sweden and Vilma that lives in Norway. More at Familie photos Clara went BIS. Thank you to the Norweigen Mastiff Club and judge Jari Laakso, Finland.

	Junior was in open class and went 3rd best male at the show.
Junior got the CAC and is now new norweigen and nordic champion.   At our way back home we visited Wilma, 4 month, living in Oslo. More to follow soon.

We only showed Junior, he achieved 2nd best male and RCACIB.
Freja (Hugedogge Vivienne) achieved excellent.
Minnie (Hugedogge Veronica) got Very Good.
Minnie (Hugedogge Xandra) achieved excellent, 2.best bitch, CAC and RCACIB.
Viktor (Hugedogge Quinn) achieved excellent, 3.best male, RCAC

In England is Junior the proud father of 2 girls and 1 boy, 4½ week old at the pictures. It is a repeat breeding on Thomaster Tonna (daughter to Hannibal). Last time it only produced male puppies. One stayed at the kennel - "Allan" and he is very similar to Junior. We look forward to see them.

11.07.2011: World Dog Show in Paris and Championat de France

Birte and Junior has been in Paris to the WDS and the Championat de France.

	07.07.2011: WDS, 86 mastiffs entered. Judge: Mr.Luis M.Pinto Teixeira, Portugal. Junior was in champion class - the biggest class at the show with 17 mastiffs entered. He got excellent and placed 4th in a class with great competition. View the results here

08.07.2011: Championat de France. Judge Mrs. Pamela Jeans-Brown, GB. 66 entries. Junior was in championclass and this day he won the class over some of the competitors that won over him the day before. View the results here

30.06.2011:

Hugedogge Adorable Georgina lives in Switzerland together with an old Conrad daughter.	Hugedogge Afrodite is now enjoying life in Jægerspris.
Hugedogge Albert lives in Egå and is the successor to Hugedogge Danish Dynamite, who lived to 9 years old.	Hugedogge Amadeus moved to Holland and lives together with his uncle Hugedogge Romeo.
Hugedogge Archibal is spoiled in Åbybro.	Hugedogge Zoffie enjoy life in Haslev.
Hugedogge Zafira had a long trip to France. She will become the successor to Hugedogge Barbirolli Sir Purcel who lived to 10 years old.	Hugedogge Anastasia also had a long trip . She is now living in Norway.
	Hugedogge Augusta (left - 2 month old) and Hugedogge Zamantha is still here. The plan is that Augusta will go to England when her papers are ready to enter the country without quarantine. It means, she will stay here till about 10 month old.

Birthdays - one more veteran - Laika 8 year old in June.

Laika celebrated her 8 year birthday June 23th. She is still doing very well and enjoy life. Congratulations to her littermates - any pictures?

Open show in Årslev. Judge Leif Lehmann. BOB: Hugedogge Quinn (Viktor) BOS: Hugedogge Yvetta and her littersister Yeti was 2nd. They are 12 month old. Yeti was handled by Laura in child and dog competition and they did very well. Thank you, Laura.

29.05.2011: Dogshows and puppies leaving.

The last week most of the puppies has moved to new homes by car, ferry and plane. More to follow. Three puppies are still keeping us busy but the house feels empty... At the picture Thelma is nursing the puppies for a last time (20.05) before the first one left home.

At The Dansih Mastiff Club show Hugedogge Quinn - "Victor" (Marly x Julle) got excellent, won open class, got CAC and 2nd best dog. It was his and his owners first time to show. Well done ! Victor is a litter brother to multich. Hugedogge No Quitter (Heico) and multich. Clara.
He also won the challenge cup for best danish owned dog in open class. Judge Mrs. Atkinson, GB.

Congratulations to Victor and owner, Charlotte

National show in Sweden in Østerbybruk saturday and international in Stockholm sunday:

On staurday three mastiffs aged 19 month, out of Conrad as father and Marly as grandfather, where shown. They all got excellent and Komandorans Fernando went BOB, his sister Komandorans Dancing Queen went BOS. 2nd. best dog was Hugedogge Uranus (Uffe x Julle) - and also a grandson to Marly.
On sunday the BOB/BOS where shown again with the same result!

	Komandorans Fernando - 19 month: 2 x CAC, CACIB, 2 x BOB this weekend.
Komandorans Dancing Queen - 19 month: 2 x CAC, CACIB, 2 x BOS this weekend. Big congratulations to the breeder and owners.

In Norway Hugedogge Vilma ( Marly x Thelma) got CAC, BOB on saturday. She will be two years old in June.

25.05.2011: Swedish Mastiff Club show:

Last weekend Olaf went to Karlstad in Sweden to the mastiff specialty.
30 mastiffs entered and judged by Åke Cronander.
Junior was in championclass - an impressive class of 8 champions.

Junior got BOB and won the best movements. BOS was Sormus Hope For Max Out´s. Congratulation. Clara got excellent 2 in championclass.
Thank you to photographer Björn Wiberg, Sweden.	Hugedogge Uranus got 3rd best champion and won best head. He is 2½ year and earned his champion title in April. Big congratulations to his owner, Helena & leif.

17.04.2011: German Mastiff Club show in Sieverstedt

12.04.2011:

The puppies are doing very well and Thelma is still a fantastic mother for all of them. Pictures from the first couple of weeks are up at Puppy pictures - the site will be updated often with new pictures.

With puppies in the house the washing machine is busy. The dirty towels from the whelpingbox were waiting at the garden table. Junior could not resist - he thinks he still is a puppy :)

05.04.2011: We have puppies

Thelma has got 8 beautiful puppies. 3 males and 5 females. Fawn, 1 apricot male, 1 apricot female.

Thelma is a very good mother with plenty of milk and besides her own puppies she also takes loving care of Donna´s. At the pictures she has 11 puppies.

With tears in our eyes we have to tell that we lost Donna having a caesarean. She started to give birth naturally but stopped and we had to take her to the vet. for operation. She was stable under anesthesia but when they had almost finished the operation she stopped breathing. This is a nightmare - loosing a bitch this way and having 3 small baby girls that survived the birth. The next day we were busy bottlefeeding but then Thelma decided to have her babies and Donna´s puppies got a real mother. It has been amazing to observe how the mastiff family has taken care of the motherless puppies. The bitches has licked them, old Conrad decided that it was his responsibility and moved into the whelpingbox. Normally he is not interested in newborn puppies.
In a sad time it was so optimistic to see the puppies joy when they got a new mother. They snuggled into her, crawled at her and enjoyed the real milk. Well, we had covered their basic needs but we can not replace a real mastiffmother.

	Conrad babysitting. He wanted to take part in everything we did with the puppies. The grown up mastiffs clearly understood that the babies needed help. Mastiffs are fantastic...

21.03.2011: Hugedogge No Quitter BIG2 in Sweden

Yesterday at SKK International show in Malmø "Heico" got his 3rd placement in the group competition - BIG2. In Holland he was BIG1 and in Denmark 2010 BIG2. I do not think any Danish owned and bred mastiff previously has obtained such amazing results. Big congratulation to owner Mona Sejersbøl.

08.03.2011: CACIB Groningen, Holland - Hugedogge No Quitter "Heico" group winner!

Heico won the group, a placement that very seldom is given to a mastiff.
Conrad won the group in Amsterdam 2005, and I think it never has happened in Denmark.

Heico - Hugedogge No Quitter - (Marly x Julle) got: Best male, CAC, CACIB, Groningen Winner 2011 New International Champion. Best of breed - BOB. Winner group 2 Big congratulation to the owner, Mona Sejersbøl and thank you to the bred judge, Brigitte Thieleman, DK and the group judge Mrs. M. Talvitie, Finland. At the picture the proud winner of the group.

.   Sanne - Hugedogge Rosanna (Jackson x Julle) got: Best bitch - BOS, CAC, CACIB and Groningen Winner 2011. Heico (BOB) and Sanne (BOS) are halfsiblings.   It was nice to meet dutch mastiff friends and to see Hugedogge Yasmina again. We also met a son to jackson, Bardolynn´s Ignatio, he got the youth CAC. Congratualtion.

We were ready to go back home after the group competition on saturday. But winning the group changed everything. We had to stay to the BIS competition on Sunday. Thank you to the dutch kennelclub that booked a hotelroom for us and the dogs. Heico and Sanne thought that paying extra for dogs in the room meant that they could test the bed :)
	Sunday we went sightseeing in Groningen and late afternoon Heico went to the BIS competition together with the winners of the 9 other groups. This time he was not placed but a happy couple left the ring with flowers and a diploma. Sunday night we were back in Denmark. Tired but a wonderful experience richer. This is a weekend we will never forget.

14.02.2011: Hugedogge Rosanna went BOB at DKK Int. Show in Fredericia

Saturday we showed Hugedogge Rosanna (Sanne) in open class. She got BOB, CAC and CACIB. Hugedogge Sir Conrad-Jr. (Junior) was in championclass and got BOS and CACIB.
Judge: Piet Rosenboom. Entries: 15 mastiffs.

11.02.2011: Conrad is 11 years old today - congratulation :)

Today we celebrated Conrad on his 11th birthday. He is an amazing healthy and happy boy. We love him so much and are so grateful. The day was celebrated with delicious bones, and he can still chew it.

	And the very best: A new teddy bear. Every morning he find his teddy bear and walk around with it in his mouth. After a while he puts it at the door and want to go outside. Now he has said good night and is asleep at the top of his new teddy. Nobody else can borrow it :)

10.01.2011: MyDog - Two international dog shows in Gøteborg, Sweden.

New swedish and new international champion. Saturday, judge Javier Sanchez, Spanien. Junior : BOB, CAC, CACIB and is now new swedish champion. Clara: won championclass and got BOS, CACIB and is now new international champion. (has to be confirmed by the FCI)

	Left: Reserve dog, Emile de La Basse Roche, 1½ year old. He is a son to multich. Hugedogge Barbirolli Sir Purcel who is a fullbrother to Junior ´s mothers mother. Any similarity? - We think so.

Sunday, judge: Birgitta Svarstad, Sweden.. Junior won the champion class and got BOB, CACIB. Clara won the champion class   Thank you to Mia Johannson for the wonderful pictures.

05.01.2011:

In December Uffe became the proud father to 7 lovely puppies at kennel Farm of Snoring Dog. The mother is Farm of Snoring Dog Miss Nhemo. There are 2 fawn males, 1 brindle male, 1 brindle female and 3 fawn females. The puppies are doing great and has started to eat solid food. Sorry for the quality of the pictures - hope it is better than nothing.... better ones to come later.
